The target group of ka-root are people who are committed to the fight against food waste and appreciate sustainable solutions.

The app is mainly aimed at customers who want to buy the leftover quantities on farms. In many cases, farmers have to throw away their overproduced food because it does not meet the norm of food sales markets. Unsaleable goods due to more or less major deviations from the (strict!) trade standards. The carrot too crooked, the cucumber too long, the apple with superficial spots or the potato with scab on the skin.

03 Next steps

The next steps were to create a flow chart and the first sketches with wireframes. The flowchart and wireframes included only the main core functions. My focus was to create an easy flow for both, the customer and the farmer.

04 Coming soon

Now I will start with the styleguide and a basic design system. Afterwards I will create the mid- to high fidelity prototypes.
